Hope Eccles

President

As President of the Goldener Hirsch, Hope Eccles represents the other owners in ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable visit. The family’s focus on exceptional guest service and attention to detail has earned the Deer Valley luxury hotel numerous awards and ensures that their guests feel like VIPs from the moment they arrive. Most recently, the Hirsch was again selected by the World Ski Awards as the Best Ski Boutique Hotel in the United States.

Ryan Burnham

Executive Chef

Originally from a small town in Germany, Executive Chef Ryan Burnham seemed destined to lead the kitchen at the Goldener Hirsch. A graduate of the University of Utah and the California Culinary Academy, Chef Ryan has helped open restaurants in iconic hotel properties such as the Clift Hotel’s Asia de Cuba and Alfred Portale’s Gotham Steak in the revitalized Fontainebleau Hotel.  During his fifteen years in the Park City area, he has contributed his talents to many of our most recognized establishments including the Glitterand, Wahso and Grappa.

Sascha Jarrard

Director of Sales & Marketing

Director of Sales and Marketing Sascha Jarrard began is a Salt Lake City native who moved to Connecticut to attend College at Quinnipiac University. After earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications she went on to live and work in New York City as a Media Planner in the Advertising industry. It wasn’t until she moved back to Salt Lake City that she was bitten by the hospitality bug. In this time that she was cultivating her hospitality career she worked as Catering Sales Manager for a local Utah restaurant and went on to work seasonally at The Sundance Film Festival as an Event Planner and ended up at The Lodges at Deer Valley as a Conference Services Manager and was later promoted to National Sales Manager – it is with all this experience she informs both the direction of our sales plans as well as the marketing for the Inn.

Amanda Wells

Director of Rooms

Amanda Wells, Director of Rooms, joined the Goldener Hirsch Inn in 2015 after being a part of the opening team for Montage Deer Valley as they earned their Forbes Five Star rating. Previously, Amanda worked with Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Maryland at Sheraton Baltimore and the Westin Annapolis. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Resort and Hospitality Management from Green Mountain College. Amanda’s passion are her four horses.

Bruno Araujo

Restaurant Manager

Restaurant Manager Bruno Araujo was born and raised in Belo Horizonte, Brasil. Upon moving to Park City in 2001, Bruno joined the Food and Beverage team at Stein Eriksen Lodge. While there, Bruno became an integral part of one of the country’s finest wine programs and developed his passion for true excellence in service. After a decade spent with the Steins team, Bruno took his talents to lower Deer Valley and the St. Regis Hotel and helped them achieve their first Forbes 4 star rating at the J & G Grill. Entering his third winter, Bruno’s passion, knowledge and commitment to excellence are evident to anyone dining in our restaurant.

Dylan Brown

Sous Chef

Dylan Brown hails from beautiful Cache Valley, Utah. His culinary passion first took hold working at Rosa’s Italian Restaurant in Pismo Beach, California, while learning to make Gnocchi from Mama Rosa herself, he developed his passion for fresh ingredients and simple yet elegant preparations. He returned to Salt Lake City in 2010, taking a Sous Chef position at the up and coming Pago in the very trendy ‘9th & 9th” neighborhood. In 2012 he decided to come “up the hill” to the Hirsch to join Chef Ryan whom he worked for at Pago, he quickly became his right hand and with his calm and collected demeanor expertly fulfilled his role as Sous Chef – the rest as they say is history!

Kayleigh Elick

Pastry Chef

Head Pastry Chef Kayleigh Elick comes to us from Santa Clarita, California, where out of High School she was catering for NBC and Universal Studios. After attending Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Pasadena, she has held positions in high end restaurants like Chez Betty and with large hotels including the Montage, Deer Valley. Kayleigh brings together a perfect balance of comfort and nuance in her exquisite desserts. Beyond being an accomplished artisan, she is charitable to boot! She regularly participates in charities including the American Cancer Society and the Special Olympics – we are lucky to have such a talented and compassionate young chef running our pastry program.
